Individual Therapy
Sometimes life feels overwhelming, confusing, or just plain stuck—and when it does, individual therapy can be a space to breathe, reflect, and heal. Whether you're navigating a specific life challenge or carrying something heavier from your past, therapy offers a dedicated time to focus on you—your story, your patterns, and your goals for change.
At Compass Point Counseling, therapy takes place in a supportive and grounded environment where it's safe to explore what may be getting in the way of the life you want. The approach is collaborative, balancing compassion and validation when it's important to feel heard with gentle challenges when it's time to move beyond patterns that no longer serve you. Therapy isn't about “fixing” anyone; it’s about gaining insight, building self-compassion, and creating lasting change from the inside out.

Family Therapy
Families are complex, and even in loving homes, communication can sometimes break down or tensions can build. Family therapy offers a space to slow down, listen differently, and work through challenges that may be getting in the way of closeness and connection.
With curiosity and compassion, therapy helps families better understand one another and strengthen relationships. Sessions provide a supportive, neutral space where each voice is valued and every perspective is honored. Together, we work to build insight into family dynamics and develop practical tools for more open, emotionally attuned communication.
Approaches are tailored to each family’s unique rhythm, drawing from systemic, relational, and attachment-based frameworks. When helpful, play-based or creative techniques may be used to engage younger members.
If your family is feeling stuck, disconnected, or simply in need of support, a free 15-minute consultation is available to learn more about how family therapy can help.

What is Play Therapy?
Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate and evidence-based approach that helps children express, explore, and make sense of their feelings through play. Because children often communicate best through imagination rather than words, play becomes their natural language and a safe way to share what’s on their mind and in their hearts.
In a supportive and nurturing environment, play therapy allows children to process experiences, build coping skills, and develop confidence as they work through life’s challenges in ways that feel comfortable and natural to them.
Benefits of Play Therapy
-
• Encourages healthy emotional expression and self-regulation
• Builds confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills
• Strengthens relationships with family and peers
• Supports healing from grief, trauma, or major life changes
• Promotes healthy development and self-awareness
What to Expect
Each session is uniquely tailored to the child’s needs and may include art, sand tray play, puppets, role play, games, or storytelling. Through these activities, children are given the space to explore their feelings and experiences while learning positive ways to cope and connect.
